Our chess camps are year round and we welcome any child of 5 years or older. Prior chess knowledge is not required to attend chess camp. We have multiple full and half-day camp options. Our day is split between chess training and fun activities. At our beautiful camp site in North Palm Beach seen in the pictures, we have full access to basketball courts, a baseball field, playground, and racquetball courts. We place high priority on physical and mental training in our camps through fun activities.

Times:
Morning Camp from 9:00AM to 1:00PM, Full Day Camps from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
Early drop off (8:15AM-9:00AM) or Late pick up (5:00PM-5:45PM) is available if discussed with camp director.
Monday Through Friday
We will not be holding camp on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years Day)
Example Camp Schedule:
• 9:00 – 10:00 – Check In/ Warm Up, Free Play
• 10:15 – 10:30 – Orientation/Expectations, Activities for the Day/Week
• 10:30 - 11:30 – Simultaneous Exhibition with Student Assessments
• 11:45 - 12:00 – Lunch/Snacks and Break
• 12:00 - 1:00 – Chess Instruction (Lesson With Primary Instructor)
• 1:00 - 2:00 – Recreation Time (Various Activities)
• 2:00 - 3:00 – Chess Instruction and Labs (Lesson With Instructor)
• 3:00 - 4:30 – Champions Challenge (rated) tournament. We vary the time controls With Standard (G/25;d5 or G/60;d5), Quick (G/15;d0), and Blitz (G/5;d0) Time Controls. After completion of each game, both players analyze the game with an Instructor.
• 4:30 – Downtime, Bughouse, Variants, Free Play Encouraged
The schedule is subject to change based on the student's & instructor's desire to mix it up. Each week during the summer there will be minor changes to the overall schedule.

Scholarship Opportunities: We at Palm Beach Chess feel that everyone should have the opportunity to attend our camps. Title 1 students and students who receive free and reduced lunch please contact us.
